Bluebeam rallycross driver Toomas “Topi” Heikkinen gearing up to reclaim 1st place spot at the Barcelona X Games

After Finishing 2nd at his Debut X Games in Brazil, Topi is Ready to Go for the Gold

This week Bluebeam® Software’s Global Rallycross driver and X Games Brazil silver medalist Toomas “Topi” Heikkinen is heading to X Games Barcelona to take care of some unfinished business. Topi held the lead for all 10 laps of last month’s X Games Brazil. But in the race’s final seconds, Scott Speed took the joker lap and the lead, resulting in Topi’s second place finish. While X Games Brazil was his best GRC performance to date, Topi now only has one thing on his mind – winning the gold.

“Barcelona is mine,” said Heikkinen, who is quickly gaining popularity amongst GRC fans for his aggressive driving style. “Leading the pack in Brazil wasn’t enough. This time, I’m ready to deliver all the way to the finish line and claim my spot at the top of the podium.”

“In Brazil, Topi took the Bluebeam rally car from fourth from the pole to the lead position in just seconds, leaving the competition in a cloud of dust,” said Richard Lee, Bluebeam Software President and CEO. “Topi is proving out of the gate that there are no limits to what he can do, and we’re looking forward to seeing him win a gold medal in Barcelona.”

The X Games Barcelona are taking place May 16th – 19th, with the main Global Rallycross event scheduled for Sunday, May 19th 4pm CEST. Check your local ESPN listings for the full television schedule.
